Understated classic contemporary design was the brief. We clearly met the brief at 161 hale and created a bar lighting scheme to compliment the contemporary interior. We had to understand the mood change from lunch to dinner and pay homage to the original features of this old building.
Dawnvale also designed the Sushi counter where trained chefs prepared and served over 100 staple items.
Based on a mixture of traditional Japanese and Western dishes, customers can choose from the traditional raw sexy sashimi, rice covered makis and nori wrapped hand rolls right through to hot staples like chicken katsu curry, salmon teriyaki and spicy beef ramen.
