The Danish Food Centre was the first place that served real coffee in Manchester. They had the largest cold buffet table outside of Scandinavia, and they boasted a cafeteria, a bar, a retail shop, a first class restaurant as well as a take away service.
In 1999 they opened KRO bar in Manchester, a very popular cafe bar, for which it has won City Life Bar of the Year in 2000. Due to the success of KRO bar, they then opened a second restaurant/bar, KRO2, also in the city, which hosted the private party for the athletes of the Commonwealth Games. KRO2 has also recently been acclaimed with the title, City Life Bar of the Year 2002.
When KRO decided to bring their unique brand to the heart of Manchester, on the lawns of Piccadilly, they chose Dawnvale as the company to design, manufacture and install their new bar and kitchen, providing them with a fully experienced project manager backed up by our own Corgi registered engineers.
