Award nominations at The Stadium Business Summit
Table of Contents
ToggleWe are proud to share that several Dawnvale Group projects, alongside our wider contribution to the sector, have been recognised at the Stadium Business Design & Development Summit. With three nominations across key categories, this recognition reinforces our growing role within stadium and arena hospitality across the UK.
Concourse Activation
One of our nominated projects was Box 2 Box at St Andrew’s, shortlisted in the Concourse Activation category. Delivered in partnership with SpaceInvader Design and Birmingham City FC, the project transformed a previously unused, rubble-filled space beneath the stands into a vibrant fan destination.
The completed venue now features a large bar with 13 till points, bespoke seating and a central stage for live entertainment. Through careful planning and close collaboration, a challenging under-stand environment was successfully reimagined into a dynamic space that enhances the matchday experience and adds long-term value to the stadium.
Hospitality & Premium
We were also delighted to see our work at Utilita Arena Birmingham recognised, with both the Electric Lounge and Acoustic Lounge named finalists in the Hospitality & Premium category. Delivered in partnership with Jump Studios, these fit-outs focused on creating distinctive premium environments that balance innovation, functionality and guest experience, while meeting the operational demands of a major live events venue.
The nominations reflect the quality of the overall design and delivery, as well as the ability to create premium spaces that perform commercially while enhancing the visitor experience.
Industry Partner Recognition
Alongside the project nominations, Dawnvale Group was recognised as an Industry Partner. This reflects our continued collaboration with some of the UK’s most prominent sporting and entertainment organisations, including Manchester City FC, Birmingham City FC, Manchester United FC, Burton Albion FC, Co-op Live, the NEC and BP Pulse Arena, and Utilita Arena Birmingham.
Working across such a diverse range of venues has positioned Dawnvale as a trusted delivery partner within the stadium and live events sector, known for combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of operational requirements.
The Stadium Business Design & Development Summit
In addition to the awards, our team attended both days of the summit as sponsors and exhibitors, with our own stand in the marketplace. This year marked a step forward in our involvement, returning not only as delegates but also as active contributors to the event programme.
Our Managing Director, John Berry, joined Luke Ritchie, Project Director at KSS Design Group, on stage for a panel discussion titled Hospitality & Premium Experiences: New Spaces. In Old Places. For New Faces. The session explored how existing stadium and arena spaces can be reimagined to meet evolving audience expectations, drawing directly on our experience delivering complex transformations within live environments.
Across the two days, we had the opportunity to reconnect with existing partners, build new relationships and engage in valuable discussions on the future of stadium and hospitality development. The breadth of insight shared throughout the summit highlighted both the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry.
Being recognised at the Stadium Business Design & Development Summit is a testament to the collaborative approach that underpins our work. From clients and designers through to delivery teams, these projects demonstrate what can be achieved when experience, creativity and technical expertise come together.
