Dawnvale + SpaceInvader Join the Manchester City F.C. Corporate Cup

Dawnvale was proud to take part in the Manchester City F.C. Corporate Charity Cup, held at the Joie Stadium, home to Manchester City Women. As the club’s exclusive fit-out partners, we were invited to join this fantastic event in support of City in the Community, Manchester City’s official charity.

The Corporate Cup brings together businesses associated with the club for a one-of-a-kind tournament, all in aid of a great cause. This year’s event raised over £12,000 to help fund initiatives that promote mental well-being, physical activity, and life skills for young people across Greater Manchester.

We teamed up with the brilliant design team at Space Invader, our long-time collaborators on multiple hospitality projects at the Etihad Stadium, to form Team Dawnvader. After checking in and receiving our personalised kit, we made our way to the changing rooms, ready to represent our companies on the pitch.

While our teamwork is top tier when it comes to fit-out, our on-pitch coordination could’ve used a few training sessions! The matches were fast, competitive, and packed with energy, some teams even fielded players with tournament experience. One of our most memorable games was against a charity squad made up of ex-professional footballers. Even in their 60s, their skill level was unmistakable.

It wasn’t just about football. The stands were full of friends, families, and supporters, including the entire Dawnvale office team, cheering us on throughout the day. Although we didn’t make it to the finals, we gave it our all and had a great time doing it.

After the final whistle, players and supporters gathered in the stadium’s hospitality lounge for an evening of live music, great food, and relaxed conversation. It was a brilliant way to end a day that brought people together in support of something meaningful.
