ToggleWe are delighted to announce the completion of our latest project: a high-end bar and interior fit-out for Ffarm Hall in Betws-yn-Rhos.
This isn't just any hotel renovation in Wales; Ffarm Hall has made headlines as the country’s first-ever 100% plant-based hotel. Set within a stunning Grade II listed building dating back to the early 1700s, the project required a delicate balance of historic preservation and modern, sustainable luxury.
The Vision: High-End Aesthetic Meets Historic Character
Owned by Louise and Andy Macbeth, the visionary duo behind Yorkshire’s renowned Beck Hall, Ffarm Hall was designed to be a sanctuary of "sustainable luxury."
The client’s brief was clear: they required a high-end aesthetic that respected the building’s Grade II listed status while creating a functional, contemporary space for guests to enjoy indulgent plant-based dining and cocktails.
Our Role: Bespoke Bar Design & Furniture Fit-Out
At Dawnvale, our objective was to design and deliver a fully operational bar that aligned seamlessly with the hotel’s sophisticated look.
The scope of our work included:
Detailed Bar Workflow Planning: Ensuring that service efficiency is never compromised by design.
Bespoke Bar Installation: Creating a focal point that complements the historic fireplaces and architectural features of the hall.
FF&E Excellence: We supplied and installed all fixed furniture, alongside curated loose furniture and fittings, adhering strictly to the client’s specific finishes and rich colour schemes.
A Decade of Collaboration
This project marks a significant milestone for us, representing over ten years of partnership with the clients. Having successfully delivered more than five schemes together, our deep understanding of their brand allowed us to work closely with the main contractor to ensure the plant-based restaurant renovation was completed on time and within budget.
The Result
Ffarm Hall officially reopened its doors in May 2026, offering a unique countryside escape near Abergele. The result is a beautifully considered space where historic charm meets ethical luxury.
Whether you are visiting for the sustainable ethos or the indulgent dining, the new bar and lounge areas provide the perfect backdrop for Wales' newest boutique destination.
