New Hickory’s Sites So Far in 2025

At Dawnvale, we’ve built a trusted, long-term partnership with Hickory’s Smokehouse, one of the UK’s fastest-growing casual dining brands. Our role spans far beyond installation; we deliver full commercial kitchen and bar design, complete fit-outs, and ongoing service and maintenance across all Hickory’s locations.

In 2025 alone, we’ve already completed five Hickory’s projects, with more on the way. From brand-new openings to flagship refurbishments, every kitchen and bar is built around the demands of high-volume, Southern-style BBQ and tailored to meet Hickory’s exacting operational standards.

Now with 30 sites nationwide, Hickory’s continues to expand its footprint, and we’re proud to be supporting that growth every step of the way.

Here’s what we’ve delivered so far this year:

Our first Hickory’s project of 2025 was the transformation of the former Riverside Farm pub in Skelton. We completed a full commercial kitchen and bar fit-out, delivering a high-performance space capable of handling the pressures of a busy family restaurant.

Now open, this vibrant new venue brings the bold flavours of the Southern States to York.

We returned to where it all began, giving the original Hickory’s Smokehouse in Chester a full kitchen upgrade.

This site holds huge significance as the brand’s birthplace, and our work ensured it’s now equipped with a modern, efficient back-of-house set-up to continue delivering the same unforgettable BBQ experience, just with even better tools.

At this unique lakeside site, housed within the former Caldecotte Arms, we completed a fast-track kitchen fit-out in just two weeks.

The building’s distinctive windmill-fronted façade now houses a bespoke kitchen and bar, designed around Hickory’s low-and-slow cooking style and fully integrated into the venue’s operational flow.

Our next stop was Greater Manchester, where the former Charnley Arms in Standish was reborn as a full-scale Hickory’s Smokehouse.

We delivered the main kitchen, theatre kitchen, and key bar elements, helping to bring the live-fire cooking experience to life behind the scenes. The result? A dynamic and functional space, ready to handle the heat.

Located at the site of the former Brookhouse Farm Hungry Horse, Hickory’s Swindon marked our fifth handover of the year.

We designed and installed a fully bespoke kitchen and bar, giving the team everything they need to serve up their signature smoked flavours to a whole new audience. It’s another brilliant addition to Hickory’s growing estate.

Our most recent handover was Hickory’s Sheffield, and the brand’s first venture into South Yorkshire. This former Gypsy Queen pub has been completely reimagined, with Dawnvale responsible for the bespoke smokehouse kitchen at the heart of the venue.

Now open and smoking, the site has also created over 100 jobs and plays a key role in Hickory’s continued investment in both people and place.
