Dawnvale is honoured to have three projects shortlisted for the 2022 Northern Design Awards. This annual celebration of northern design talent is one we have been fortunate to have been shortlisted for previously, and we’re delighted to be considered for our work amongst some of the most gifted designers in the region.
This year’s award ceremony will be held on Friday 18 November at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool – a former warehouse dock in the historic port, now a luxurious destination in its own right.
Our shortlisted projects are in the commercial hotel interior design, commercial interior design and commercial restaurant and bar design categories:
Callow Hall: Shortlisted for the best hotel interior design award
Set in the beautiful Peak District national park, Callow Hall is a stunning Victorian country house hotel which sits within 35-acres of garden and natural woodland.
The Dawnvale team worked with Callow Hall to design, build and fit out a stylish, welcoming new garden room. Flooded with natural light thanks to a glass ceiling, and reflective of its surroundings with a lush living garden and additional greenery, the garden room has a large bar and dining area for guests.

Accrington Stanley FC: Shortlisted for the best commercial interior design project £500K - £1M
League One football club Accrington Stanley tasked Dawnvale with fitting out their new state-of-the-art hospitality suite. Built to offer fans an excellent match day experience, in addition to giving the club additional venue space for other events, we supplied and fitted the suites two kitchens, three bars, flooring, furniture and lighting.
The 1968 Lounge, The Snug champagne bar and the pitch-front Chairman’s Lounge are comfortable, contemporary spaces and provide the perfect setting for match day hospitality.

The Ugly Duckling: Shortlisted for the best commercial restaurant and bar design project £250k
We’d previously worked with the Stamford Pub team in Altrincham so were delighted when we were asked to consult with them to freshen up their restaurant next door, The Ugly Duckling.
One of our favourite aspects of this project, in addition to the opulent interior, is the theatrical open kitchen, backlit to the dining room, which takes diners right into the heart of the restaurant. The updated floor plan, feature wallpaper and textured blinds make this a stunning location to gather and feast.
